are the ones I have least symptathy for. It takes a hell of lot for the council to evict anyone, no smoke without fire in that case I fear. The woman with cancer etc is a shocking case & with Barclays recent form shows what c**ts these banks are. This & the other case shows it can happen to me, you or anyone. Lose your job, can't afford mortgage, house goes.
I struggle to understand, in a modern society like ours, why anyone is homeless. Could this be that there are simply too many people in the country? Slightly off kilter in relation to the programme granted but similar subject.

Just sitting there empty, and the homeless guy and that family were both in that same area. Agreed there probably was a lot more to the family's case, and as I said, it seems reckless to keep expanding your family if you can't cope already.

Barclays got terrible PR over that, though unless I'm mistaken the "taxpayer bailed them out and this is how they treat people" line is not valid as they were not one of the banks involved in the bail out.

fairly sure that they looked the Abu Dhabi for assistance with their debts but not 100 percent sure

All day it did annoy me a tad. Fair play to the bloke, he seemed to do everything. His wife did look f#cking lazy though and the kids that she was supposed to look after seemed to do what they wanted. Felt really sorry for the banker. He could of taken the money and ran but tried to keep going. Deserved better. Really sad.
