during which a minimum of 90 overs must be bowled - there is no maximum. Time will be added on to complete the overs if necessary

Any of Broad, Finn or Tremlett would probably have been lethal. Not going to help Jimmy. Just hope Bresnan can regain some of his pace, though I imagine Monty and Swann's height will be of some use

not that I'm gloating, but didn't one of us want him in the team and one of us think it was ridiculous to suggest feeding the Indians a diet of spin?
To be fair, Monty has definitely surprised me with how many wickets he's taken.

I would add the caveat that it was more to do with the utter disbelief that he wasn't in the team given his rather poor record in India that I was reacting rather than the fact that I didn't want him. He had been magnificent though

which is fine when he's getting help from the pitch, but he still lacks Swann's variations which is pretty shocking.
