that all the speakers plug into has died
a) Should I just buy a new similar system?
b) Get a soundbar and blu ray player?
c) Can I just clip all the speaker connectors off and then buy an AV receiver and Blu Ray player and connect the cables to that? and would that be the best option?

I have a budget of around £500-600

Your help would be appreciated

speakers on these new TV's are f**king awful

24 bottles of decent wine and another 24 of plonk should do the trick

Bit hefty for £500-£600 though.
I'm looking for either a sound bar or a 5.1 system.
