It's not Wenger's fault. He's had grate players but he can't keep them because the club won't pay them outrageous wages nor buy better players to play with them.

The board has to give Wenger more money to buy better players and relax its reported wage cap or put up with relative mediocrity.

Granted, we are not getting nearly enough from the current bunch of players and that is a serious problem. But if/when Wenger goes, the next manager is still going to be faced with the same bigger issues at board level.

They'd have to give a new man substantial funds to buy new players and if they're not going to do that, the best man to get something from the current squad is the man who bought most of it.
