Even though the other part of me knows that trying to finish 3rd (not 4th) is far more important to Arsenal FC, and that splitting resources in pursuit of irrelevant trinkets (ask Birmingham and Liverpool) is a fool's distraction.

hasn't stopped us from finishing top 4 until now. In terms of taking a further step forward though, I feel it could be significant. If for no other reason we're not having the added pressure to "finally" win something if we find ourselves in contention for a bigger trophy at some point. Why didn't we just win this bloody sh1t cup against Birmingham when we had the chance? http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/frown.gif
