View Full Version : I hadn't realised just HOW minted that Usmanov guy is.

I mean, I knew he had a **** load of cash, but I'd assumed it was probably about the same as Stan.

So, considering that he's like in the top 30 richest f**kers on the planet, what exactly IS our reason for not wanting him to splash the cash? Seems a bit like cutting off your nose to spite your face to me? http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

have stayed as we are and in a few years be a force to be reckoned with again, albeit with much less risk.

Also is also a very, very murky character. Just because he says he will spend loads of money on players (and I'm not 100% sure he has), that doesn't mean he will. Arsenal are a very profitable club and he would be entitled to keep those profits for himself.

Also, the current board have spent decades building the club to what it is today. Why the f**k would they sell out to a rapist?

But doesn't the same apply to Stan.

Couldn't he keep what he likes too?

At least, if the toad spent a bit first, we might be a bit better off.

I'm not a financial guy really, just didn't know why we were turning him away.

to buy Daniel Fiszman's shares when he tragically lost his battle with cancer. It was considered that by doing so he'd have sufficient shares to block any hostile bid for the club and as such, it was a much better idea for the future of the club.

It is far more likely that he would have put absolutely no money into the club - most owners don't. And if he did do that and FFP works as it should do we'd be f**king ourselves over.

There's no honour in winning by just buying the best players imho.

decided to get Kronke on board in that 'blocking agreement' to stop the the threat of Usmanov which could have really damaged the future of the club.

These men may be old, but one thing they are not is stupid.

having a pop at our board, pretty much saying "why don't you want my cash injection?".

I may have mis-read it tho. http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif

I really wish I had more confidence in the whole FFP thing. I'm just not convinced it will work http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/frown.gif

We may slip down a peg or two.

I was asking a question.

Which has been answered by some others.

the only thing that would change is Usmanov would take cash for himself and we'd have less to spend on the stadium, players and wages.

Seriously, why the f**k would he pump money into it when Arsenal are already so profitable? Little to no chance of it.

But it's one that I think most supporters that are interested in a bit of business as well as Arsenal share with me.

£500million on that company with zero prospect of increasing the value of his asset by even a fifth of that.

You'd rue the day he took over. Thankfully for us all, there's no chance of it ever happening http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/cloudnine.gif

doesn't really matter if he actually loves football.

Neither will go tits up with the Russian or the Arab in charge (though they could quite feasibly be banned from Europe by 2018) but when they leave, Chelsea in particular do not have a sufficient fan base to pay the ridiculous wage bell they've got themselves as a result of procuring some of the world's finest talent. So they'll either have to find another man that will do what Abramovich does (which is easier said than done) or sell most of their best players.

Like what happened to Leeds but on a more cataclysmic scale. Champions League semi-finalists to 3rd tier English team. Leeds actually have a proper fanbase too. Chelsea do not.

the biggest legitamate deal. Otherwise you could just sponsor a stadium for that much or buy a box at the stadium for £1billion.

s0a9
12-11-2012, 04:53 PM
wouldn't that become the "norm" for big clubs, or at least effect the "fair deal" type amount?

I hope you're right, but I don't see them kicking out any of the above, when push comes to shove.

is taking cash out of the club. But a responsible, sustainable amount.
