View Full Version : Wenger was abandoned by his players. Cesc, Naz and RVP were integral pieces to this side....

Each forced their way out after being offered competitive contracts. Winger has done his best to replace them, but it hasn't worked out. But it's nearly impossible to replace those 3 sufficiently. Wenger isn't the problem, his in game strategy is spot on. With the crowded fixture list on hand, our best players can't play every game.

Our best players leaving set us back years but if anyone can fix it its Wenger. As time goes on, we'll be in for more world class talent.

So long as the price was right, of course. That was the whole point!

all were asked to stay. When it was realized we were to lose those players on a free, the money****s got involved.

The problem before was that too many of our players were growing old with us, earning more and more while their performances dropped. Only natural, of course but unsustainable.

Wenger had the answer; sign younger players who might carry some resale value. That way, the squad refreshes, and pays for, itself and protects the club from spiralling wage costs.

The new stadium, which was a completely seperate project, nonetheless only became possible because of this.
