I think it's spot on, especially the point he makes about Wenger being at the heart of the club's lack of spending on top quality players, and not just a helpless pawn in the board's business plan.

It basically just states that in order to win trophies, you either have to find an Abramovich or bet the farm. We all know this but what is particularly irritating is that the ****er is actually endorsing and encouraging this approach. f**k him.

I would be very shocked if we finished 4th this season unless we buy some quality in Jan.... previous transfer policy is coming home to roost

Our transfer policy has nothing to do with our inability to defend as a unit. Our unwillingness to do enough work on the basics, in training, is the cause.

nor that it is desirable for clubs to spend beyond their means.

Please point me to anything in the article that is new information.
