forest it was -4c http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/indifferent.gif
With the frost and the morning sun it was stunning, though. I couldn't help but pity the poor ponies.
Did your tootsies get cold?

sat there until nearly 9:30 with the heat on. I thought, every little helps, and with the sun being out the temperature might rise 0.1 degrees over that half hour perhaps.
I was fine actually. My finger tips were hurting for the first few miles, but that went away as the blood got pumping.
Feet were very cold, but I had 2 short stops on the way, where I stood in the sun a bit and tapped my feet on the ground to get the circulation going. That did the job.
Stunning ride it was, with some ball busting Surrey climbs. Beautiful.

the impression you are not taking us serious. Stop it now.
the spring and it kept cutting out so my route was all patchy when I finished.
Just finished planning my next trans-European cycle - London - Amsterdam in May.
but beat some pwoper all the gear no idea cyclists..
best 10 miles : 31m:58s
11.40 mi
Duration 37m:52s
Avg. Speed 18.1 mph
Max. Speed 28.7 mph
Calories 724 kcal
Min. Altitude 133 ft
Max. Altitude 280 ft
Total Ascent 315 ft
Total Descent 331 ft
Weather Mostly cloud
the mph seems to drop down for a few seconds when I'm actually accelerating and then jumps up to reflect my actual speed. Usually under tree cover in the summer. But that hardly has any influence over the whole course really.
Why would you cycle to Amsterdam? Cycling through the flat and boring Dutch landscape must be tedious.
spinning at a million miles an hour to do 18mph. Unless you have it geared like a road bike?

is my thing not road,...tho after that might get one just to blow away some dreamers http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif and drafting wasnt allowed it was just by self and windy..5km run before and after..man im goooooooooooooood http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif
and tho im taking piss might get road bike as love the speed tbh
got to give it one more try before too old, only started running at 37 , 5 yrs back and im not natural runner build...my pb mile is only around 5min 45..ive got no natural speed, i have to keep up 90% intensity whole way..fecking knackering
Anyway 10 miles is 16km.
And I have no idea. I never really do 10 milers. Would this need to be on a flat road? I think I'd do around 20mph quite comfortably. On a hilly road it would depend on the nastiness of the hills of course.
at half marathon not 10 miles...anyway 20 mph..cool..tbh i was just looking for some well dones, you de man, etc http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif
...but now I'm getting old http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/frown.gif
I urgently need to go and cycle up some Alps.

And if they are part of our history, then perhaps we should be able to look at them.
