i've seen journalist taking the mikey out of the chelsea fans, and i must say i couldnt understand why their treating a new manager that way, but its now clear to me, their revolting against the whole situation and i admire their stance.

yes abramovich owns the club and spends alot of money, but its not his club, the club belongs to the fans. when he took over he said chelsea wasnt an investment it was an hobby, something he's doing for fun.

well abramovich bought a football club to get a kick out of the the whole experience, of 40 thousand ppl creating the atmosphere which surrounds the football experience. without the fans a football match is 22 men chasing a ball, which is pathetic, with the fans you get an event, a meaning, emotions and a kick out of the game.

without the fans, no sponsors would get involved in 22 men chasing a ball in a park, no investors would come in, and no rich owners looking for a kick would buy a football club. football have always been and always will be about the fans.

thus chelsea fans should be admired not ridiculed, if more fans stand up against the way modern football is going maybe we'll have an impact on the development of football, maybe ticket prices and wages will come down, maybe greedy owners will realise fans will not take their nonsense and will be careful before they step in.

Unless you mean greedy for trophies in the way that some supporters are?

but even him needs reminding the game isnt about him, its about the fans

So they aim it all at Rafa - who can be responsible for what, exactly?

Contrast with Arsenal, where Wenger continues to be teflon-man in the eyes of a sizeable minority of our fans, despite the fact he has filled a power vacuum at the club since Silent Stan's slumbering tenure began.

Their so called fans can all f**k off as long as the filthy Russian remains the owner and continues to buy trophies on top of those already bought. Just worship the fecking God I'd tell them.

and wenger filled this power vacuum not because he fought his way to power and gotrid of ppl, because there is no leadership at the club, if your bosses went MIA and you did everything and whatever you wanted in your job, its hardly your fault is it?

and it's a dig at Abramovich too.

but my point is that the board are getting their fair share of blame, while the manager is not.

At Chelsea, it is the manager who is getting an unfair share of blame, while the owner - who is totally responsible for creating the present situation - is beyond reproach, and should not be.

his rich and wants to own a football club, he spends his own money on the team and wants to experience glory and trophies. ok he's abit to eager in sacking managers but he can hardly be filthy for that.

the fans have every right to ay, we want more calm leadership, but again, that doesnt make them stupid and it doesnt make him filthy

Yes there was booing at the team but 2 goals in the last 3 minutes and thousands go off before that in every match anyway

But it's his ball they're playing with and he can take it away at any time.

Fans still get attached to some of these managers though and see it as unjust.

But they can hardly demand to sack the board or a change of owner in this instance.

when things are going well and you've just won the European Cup. Often especially then.

Benitez has merely walked straight into the role.

and far as only 2 late goals goes, well, that is really weak.

Just in the same way ours will, if Wenger wins the next four on the spin .

at Tottenham than Benitez is having here with the fans!

Doesn't help he's had a terrible start either, but possible in different circumstances he may have got them onside.

its not before yesterdays black scarf movement that we've had ppl openly blaming them.

but we've had criticism of wenger for a while, the booing of him at villa, the booing of him against manu at hme last season....all through out last season ppl sang spend some f.cking money to wenger, what money does he own?

clubs are directed from the top, its not a coincidence that the greatest tactical revolutionary in modern football was found in milan, in late 80s, sachi, his successor, capello who was the opposite of him was equally as successful. its no fluke they had some of the best players in modern time either. the drive from berlusconi/galiani made that happen.

look at them today struggle with allegri, the drive and ambition is no longer there, a mere manager cannot change the direction of a club.

its not a coincidence both wenger and graham had such a great time at arsenal, under david dein....we're now back to the times pre dein...a manager cannot change direction of the club,

of bed on the wrong foot.

That's not normally the case at any club. Most managers are given a period of time.

demand more calmness from him and stop sacking managers, they dont need to take everything.

but he's been good to them, even if he leaves today, he gave them a beautiful decade, but looks like he's going no where

might have been able to change that, their fans thought.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are the champions of Europe; they are fat right now so they can say what they like.

only currently manager til the end of the season, so no fat pay off involved.

Only thing that might stop him is a show of defiance to the protesting fans, but not sure that's his way.

Chelsea fans have been unbearable since the russian went there. They are quite happy to celebrate all the success his dirty money has bought them. The flip side is the club does not belong them them, its his toy. Had they had raised concerns previously then perhaps they'd have more sympathy from other fans.
You dance with the devil you play to his tune!

who are out to make money from the ones that they own. And who borrow the money to buy their shares,he's no better than the Glazers are . Cue some clueless mug to claim otherwise.
The Chelsea fans are picking on Benitez when Abramovich is the one who bought Torres and got rid of the managers who failed to get him to justify the 50m that he cost.
It's all rather amusing but it's not much consolation to us for the mess that our owners and manager are making of things themselves .
