Too many attacking players and not enough midfield grind.
Switching back to a 4-4-2 isn't workable considering Wenger's overloaded us with attacking midfielders and interchangerable strikers.
He needs to sit down and fkin DEFINE everyone's role in the side.
Stop pissing about with the hole - Arteta defends and everyone else in midfield and up front run around and pretend to be Barcelona because it just doesn't work. Needs to make it perfectly clear to the likes of Santi and Wilshere as to what their exact roles in the side are.
Personally would like Santi to play a bit deeper. His range of passing is simply incredible and he's far more experienced than Wilshere...who at his age shouldn't be ruined by being tied down to a defensive position.
Personally will go for:
Chesney
Sagna
Kos
Mert
Tommy
Coquelin
Arteta
Santi
Wilshere
Walcott
Podolski
Pretty easy and pretty simple.
A defensive midfield 3 of Coquelin, Arteta and Santi. Three excellent players to screen the back 4. Coquelin could be the key to off of this as he's absolute ball winner and his work rate is just excellent. A far better option than Ramsey. Wilshere in a free role in front of them and causing havoc in front of the opposing defenders. Should gets lots of the ball with Coquelin & Arteta winning it and Santi firing it into him from all angles. Podolski and Walcott just makes sense to me. Dynamic, power full and both far better when playing down the middle.
By the way...we seriously need a top quality left back in January. No idea why he's signing Huntelaar unless he can play there.
