As far as the mail is concerned he could beat a potential asylum seeker (that's what they all are after all) to death whilst wiping his arse on the Koran and he'd still be a hero to Dacre and his boys.

particularly the bit that you ignore the facts ie he got let off - he didn't, he still has a conviction against his name and a suspended sentence (plus he spend some time in jail). That isn't being let off. You would also be a bit thick to use it as a precedent as he was originally sentenced by a military court but, hey, these are just facts

and the fact that he can appeal against the original decision due to the fact he was possibly given unsound advice to plead guilty.
