View Full Version : I'm absolutely staggered that people think we played badly yesterday

I can only assume that their view of the match was skewed by the disappointing result/performance against Villa, which increased the urgency to win yesterday.

To be honest, the only question that arose out of yesterday for me was why we don't play like that more often. We rarely have to contend to with matches of that incessant tempo, and yet we still managed to play plenty of football, despite our apparent aversion to that kind of match.

a draw away to Everton, the way there playing this season is a good result.

Gibson had been and suddenly we started to get some space in between midfield and defence

with a bit more composure we would be talking about a great battling away win.

There was a touch of the desperation's about it all, with the game being a bit of a scrappy one really . A game of two sides battling for 4th place; or even 3rd if Chelsea implode again.
If Wenger were in a Formula One race he would be in danger of Ferguson and Mancini overlapping him on the next circuit having fallen so far behind them. Clunk click.
