giroud has an eye for a goal and can head the ball, but he is to static and technically average. i think he is a good option to have, specially when teams defend deep against us. but he really isnt suited to the way the rest of the team is trying to play.

i dont see to much wrong with rest of the team, obviously we need a midfielder with power, but thats to complete the 3 midgets we have and give us a different option than replace any of them.

in short, give me a "tropical storm" upfront and i'm happy

is no more a typical English type center forward than Chamakh is. Giroud heads the ball with his big feet planted on the ground when directing it toward goal , this is fine if he is not under pressure .
He's rather slow and clumsy though and I can see him struggling as time goes by this season . I can't see that he is any better than Bendtner was.

i think he is a good player to have in your squad, he brings something different to the club, but we need a more mobile option.

I'm not convinced that he's a lot better than Bendtner. But I will give you your point regarding Chamakh.

He can't control the ball and hold it in tight areas. He has his good points but he needs to try and hold the ball up a bit better.

Well Toy Town type characters are a good analogy for this current Wenger side... or even the Muppets.
