View Full Version : I can’t take seriously all of these pundits getting on their high horse about the anti-Semitic

abuse received by Spurs recently.

As football fans we are all complicit in the justification of mindless, dehumanising abuse.

particularly nauseating.
This can only lead to more stifling of a free speech society and then ultimately.... compulsory bottom inspections to examine innocent peoples underpants when entering underground stations and other areas of large communal gatherings.

the Holocaust is not funny."

Oh really? Never laughed at a joke about the death of a celebrity? Yes? So death IS funny, as long as it's not in the context of a genocide?

His tweets on football were starting to grate on me then he tried to say that Ronaldo (the fat Brazilian one) wasn't that good. Or some other bull****.

I won't point out how wonderfully well Monty did against the best players of spin in the world

Even I didn't expect him to get 11 wickets in the match, and I doubt he will do so in the next one.

shat on a staggering large body of comedic work.

Depending on your view of comedy of course. People who go and see the likes of Frankie Boyle for example won’t be offended if he joked about the death of a celebrity, they know what to expect. People however whose view of comedy is the Two Ronnies may be offended.

Anyway is tying death to humour as you have done here not moving away from the original point. The chants of the West Ham fans on Sunday were not in any way meant to be humourous.

Sky and the FA have jumped on it because racism in football is red hot at the moment.

In fact I'd be staggered if there's a single person on earth who hasn't made a joke of their own mortality.
