The argument was about whether we had ever finished a season particularly strongly or not under Wenger, for which I looked at the last dozen games. 2011 was, by some distance, the worst ever run-in.

Obviously the championship years equated to very strong run-ins (the 1998 losses were dead rubbers as we put youth teams out in preparation for the FA Cup final and our first Wenger double).

...which is of course an idiot thing to say since you generally have to alternate.
