Virgin is slightly cheaper though the times are not as good as BA.

Discuss.

but that isn't the reason. I prefer Virgin to BA. Simple. And Virgin bring round ice cream when you're watching a film

Both can be c**ts about the plane you end up on. Virgin's newest layouts are really good but the old are ****.

Some of ba's planes simply shouldnt be in the air. I went with them to delhi and it was like flying 15 years ago. Three channels of entertainment, only one pf them working, and only one working toilet.

Overall i would go miles put pf my way to avpid flying BA. They treat you like utter **** until you get through the frequent flyer tiers.

Virgin at least give you a smile. Their service is much better.

Flew to Barbados with them - never again.

Awful service - and on the return flight delayed for 5 hours - due to unserviceable aircraft.

With BA - if there is a problem with the aircraft they have a better infrastructure in place to get replacement planes into service.

Second part is true, but true of virtually every airline.

Apart from emirates. Emirates are absolutely superb.

You were on- trust me, ba have planes worse than that.

As for delays. Over my six long hauls with ba have been seriously delayed 3 times, once overnight. Their infrastructure means nothing, and their response to the delays was absolutely laughable-closed every staff point for three hours and then left an entire plane full of people to queue at one desk. Three hours in the queue.

Still have not forgiven them for the 6 hour delay coming back from the Oracle users show in Birmingham and the cnunts would not let us get another train as we could only take the one that we were booked on.

Everything to do with Branson is ****!

Once you hit silver i believe BA are about the best when it comes to upgrades. Everyone else i knpw now gets upgraded virtually every flight.

I wont fly with them, just cant bear it.

Just so impressive.

Unbelievably, you have a really good chance of a half empty plane with emirates as well. I use them for malaysia all the time, via dubai, and more often than not at least one flight each way is empty.

And it does help that my uncle was a Captain (now retired) for them.

I suppose if you have a bad experience(s) with an airline it does kind of help to form that opinion with them.

Flown with Virgin 5 times - 2 were as a code share with MAS. That was okay. Other times there was always a problem.
On our flight to Barbados last year the seats we were own were torn and bits of the seat filling were coming out.

And the plane had not been cleaned on the inside.

The food was worse than school dinner.

Shocking. Never again.

Did you see that complaint some chap uploaded to the internet about Virgin in-flight food?

May do KL over Christmas - and do the A380 then.

My cousin loves flying on the A380.

I judge n airline by wht happens when there is a problem. BA were terrible, not even remotely apologetic.

Twice i have had fairly minor problems with emirates and their customer service was astounding. Resolved immediately, apology, free lounge access.....

I will be honest, most airlines are fairly similar. Virgin are far from great and. Ihe had problems with them. I dont really think it is fair to leave people no idea pf wht plane they might be on. The range with both virgin and ba is not acceptable, particularly with a brand like virgin.

Whereas the emirates fleet is reliable. The new planes are better but there isnt much in it. The basic essentials are roughly the same.
