View Full Version : I've now read a few articles (including of course the mentalist Myles Palmer) regarding Thierry and

him coming back for another loan spell. People going "oooh, not too sure about that" and Palmer (who is obviously a massive TH hater) saying "he can't RUN". They all seem to have forgotten what happened last time round (3 goals in 7 appearances, from the bench). Is it because he's ONE YEAR older? Or perhaps they haven't seen him just complete quite a brilliant season for his club? Yes, of course, it's not the Premiership, I mean, just look at how well Premiership clubs are doing in Europe at the moment http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/rolleyes.gif

and doing well in a league full of europes unwanted?

And for the record it was two goals and the rest of the time he looked **** and off the pace.

But yeah, let's sign him for 6 weeks because he loves the club and will always be a "gunnour".

of grudge against Thierry (who probably ignored him at some sports writers bash or something), but he sometimes does write strikingly perceptive articles, or more like flashes of them. The one I'm referring to isn't one of those.

fact the Premiership clubs "ain't so hot" and your figure of hatred Thierry wouldn't necessarily struggle on the pitch as much as people think. Chalk off the Blackburn goal if you will, but the other two were MATCH WINNERS and as for "the rest of the time", he was only coming on for 20 mins or so and the one full half he played, in Milan, he and the Little Boy Inside combined to produce our only chance of the game.

And the tightfisted c**ts on the board.

As I said, I don't mind if he signs again. I was there against Leeds and it was great when he scored.

I also take your point that not signing Thierry won't mean we we'll be signing Falcao.

But it's still the cheapo option, which will piss me off.

At least Giroud will have quality service in.

This is my take on it. Not an expert or anything like some of you but this is the way I see it:

The reason I can see him returning is purely as a precaution in case of injuries and suspensions while Chamakh and Gervinho are off at the African Cup of Nations.

When they go we'll be left with:

Giroud
Podolski
Theo
Oxlade Chamberlain
Arshavin

So can't really see why he would join with that line up still available.

Last year was completely different to what we have now.

The whole thing will be reaccessed nearer the time and Wenger will base it on what's happening with the other 5. Someone might actually finally come in and take Arshavin off our hands, we haven't squashed the Theo contract dilemma so he could also leave for a small fee and then what if one of the other 3 gets injured or suspended. We'd be screwed.

So at the moment Arsene isn't saying yes and he ain't saying no. The press can speculate all they like on it.

Yes, it may have been saved but for a deflection, but the shot was on target. http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif
