Arsenal man through and through. Presided over the most successful period in the club's history.
Can't see any possibility of him coming back under the current structure. http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

My favourite thing about people who seem to be devotees of saint david is that they accuse the board of being in it for profit, yet dein was more eager to sell than anybody else.

Quite bizarre, given that his partner in crime now effectively owns the club.

The idea that Red & White, who Dein sold out to, are some sort of potential saviour of the club is ridicules. They are fifth columnists and should be treated with the contempt they deserve.

I had Giroud as first goalscorer.

Last time I bet on Arsenal imo.

SOld all his shares to Usmanov though, didnt he?

If that weren't the case though, and we were able to get him without the club selling up to Usmanov, I would be delighted to have him back.

than Gazidis on the commercial side of the business.
Perhaps it's unfair to compare; given so many changes, but Deins ability to hold on to players in their peak years and his connections in the transfer market would still benefit the club had he remained.

shares to them.
It was only when she dobbed them in to the other board members that it all went pear shaped.
Dein's problem now probably isn't so much Kroenke but the old buffers like PHW, chips and others who he tried to oust.
I'd wager at some point, Kroenke would have him back in when the old toff's kark

Dein has let himself be vociferously bummed by Usmanov almost every day for years now. Stockholm syndrome must have set in by now.

Dein was a far better operator in the transfer market than Gazidis is looking at this point.
I read somewhere that the club replaced Deins role with a bloke called Dick Clark, whose reputation in the transfer market is no where near the level of Deins.

Do you mean Dick Law? Dick Clark was a 60s US TV personality, basically an American Bruce Forsyth

WD on tracking down the real Dick Clark btw. Your knowledge of sixties US popular culture can only be admired.
