I am trying to reduce my flight to New York and the won back from Washington.

It's about £500 quid at the moment which isn't too bad. But i want to save a bit more.

When they spot you are indecisive, they will lower the price to try and trap you into booking there and then.

At least they use 'hits' on a particular flight as an indication of interest and put the price up when a flight gets a lot of hits, even if people aren't booking it.

London - Tokyo - LA - New York ought to bring the price down but you'll probably spend 2-3 days in the air and waiting in the airport.

Mate did that to go to India. Went Toronto - Vancouver - Melbourne - Hong Kong - India.

Flight was £300 return.

The technicalities I will not bore you with but when perusing flights with said airline one should clear one's internet history or cookies or something as they know when you are looking at flights you have previously viewed and thus are keen to purchase.

They put the price up £30 whilst I was in the process of booking. I paused in between screens for 10 minutes whilst doing some work. I returned to continue and when I went onto the next screen, they informed me that the price had gone up.
