Why don't we ever leave at least one up? In doing so, the opposition will probably pull two men back to cover and the ball won't always come straight back after the initial clearance.

Back when we had pace throughout the team and the starting XI was packed wall-to-wall with 6 foot plus giants, we often used to counter effectively all the time and scored a load of goals doing so. But we play differently now and I can't remember the last goal we scored like that.

Take yesterday, Walcott was defending every corner back in the box. Other than being an extra body, he was adding absolutely nothing and would've been much better putting pressure on the second ball. Granted, there'd be slightly more space in the box when the corner comes over but - with only one up - not that much.

Not that I'm complaining mind, yesterday was great http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif

We managed, one way or another. Ease is probably overstating it somewhat.
