That game would have changed without the sending off. We would have settled fairly soon either way.

It did help us in that it made ot harder for spurs to press the ball but you cant use a sending off to justify being swamped and completely overrun like that. They just didnt cope with us at all once we settled in possession.

Defensively we ae still really **** though.

game until his idiotic tackle. I thought it turned the game around a bit. Oh well, who knows http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif

we wouldn't have settled that quickly if Adebayor hadn't been so silly. It ws like the on switch, that moment. As we both keep saying, we are ****e when we do not have the ball. How many more goals could we have conceded, before we settled, had it stayed 11 v 11?

If it is that simple then spurs are a completely one dimensional side who cant cope with us when we have the ball.

We went at them and they stopped pressing us. That 30 minute spell until half time was excellent from us.

a spurs fan, that just isnt good enough. A sending off should never turn a game that much.

I thought AVB got it right- press us hard, get physical and run at our full backs. Trouble is they couldnt do that once a man down. As soon as we settled and started to dominate the ball they couldnt cope.

We would have settled at some point, just like last season. And just like last season, they would hasve struggled to cope.

and spurs simply have to cope with it better than that.

My point is primarily that the game would have turned anyway but also that you cannot explain what happened purely through the sending off. Spurs should have coped better with us and the quality of some of our play is about us, not them.

How often do you see a side go to ten men and cope easily?

that we could have been 2 or more goals down, by the time we got a foothold in the game.

Missed at 1-0. Oher than that i cant think of any time that they hurt us.

We were trying to press at the start of the game and walcott was finding plenty of space off the back four, we just couldnt time a pass.

Spurs were the better side in the opening 15 minutes but it was nowhere near as bad you are making out.

I'm happy we won. I'm still worried about our play when we don't have the ball.

As for Walcott, I'm please for him today. He looked a threat and did make Spurs pay for playing a right footed left back. I wonder if he would be better suited to playing on the left and cutting in more as opposed to going on the outside?
