WTF?? How do you explain the following:

According to their statement Chelsea made "significant profits (£28.8m) ...in the transfer market".
However, there were a number of big-money signings during the year of the accounts - for example of Eden Hazard, for about £30m, Juan Mata (£23.5m) and Gary Cahill (£7m) - without any major sales of players.

(Neg thinks these purchases were not part of the 2011/12 financial results perhaps? Although shirley Cahill, Mata and Luis must be in there?)

The Stamford Bridge club's statement also said that debt of some £166.6m was turned into equity during the course of the year "making Chelsea FC plc debt free".

(Neg thinks they printed £160m worth of new shares, all bought by Abramovic?)

Not really sure how the FFP will deal with it. If they have guarantees that the next 5 years costs are covered, be it via bonds, shares or even financial deals with the owners companies, then they are secure.

so unless they were due money from previous sales... or the drug taker paid back the money Chelsea sued him for I can't see where they get that figure from.... wages aren't a part of it so Drogba leaving can't be included
