Cazorla has finished in second place, behind Andres Iniesta in the category of ‘Best attacking midfielder’ for La Liga for the 2011/12 season

During his time at Malaga, Cazorla scored nine goals and grabbed six assists during his 38 league appearances and was integral to the side securing Champions League football for the first time in their history. He was the team’s second top scorer for the 11/12 season.
The 2011-12 Premios LFP winners are voted for by players and coaches at each Spanish club.

Cesc, for example. Not even in the same league, but still very good.

Apart from the last six games where he has been largely a passenger, the little c**t http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif

Ironically Giroud is looking the most likely to succeed at the moment, after his slow start.

The reason I am asking this is because you may remember players such as Pires who in their first season were hot and cold and didn't really shine until their 2nd season.

European players find it difficult when they first join the intensity of the premiership but great players will eventually come through.

Trust me, he is a special player. He isn't so highly rated in Spain for no reason.

and has now faded. Surely if he was having problems adapting he wouldn't have had this impressive start in the first place? And so many games where he's been quiet in the last few weeks, doesn't make much sense.

For example Giroud's progress is much more logical, struggle at first, now signs of him coming good (having adapted), that makes a lot more sense for things to have happened in that order.

games has Giroud started? Perhaps your answer lies there

Give the guy a chance, why do you think he is so highly rated in Spain?

Going back a season or two, almost the entire first team has changed.

Pires, Bergkamp, Henry, Anelka, Petit all started slowly, then came good. As I said, that's logical.

Cazorla almost started too well, and the fact he's a shadow of that player now (for a number of games too), it's concerning.

Hopefully he does come back to form.

He's barely played well since the last international break. Surely you'd expect him to shine in at least one or two matches, before fading a bit in the others?

Also he's an older, more experienced and established player than we tended to sign in the past.

Some probably have a picture of him by their bedside table. I have Giroud. Anyway he is good but classifying him as in Cescs class after 4 good games is pathetic and desperate.

have not wasted anytime to classify him as overated, anything to put Wenger down, your game is clear but you are just not good at it.

He is a very good player and no coincidence that the Spanish players voted him the 2nd best offensive player

Hes played 4 exceptional games but since hes been pretty much marked out of games by teams who have sussed him out. Thats fact and not anything to do with attacking your beloved wenger. Stop acting the cry baby and start looking at the bigger picture. Take your head out of wengers backside and remember its Arsenal FC not Arsene FC. Idiot.

he just looks out of sorts after having to play two games a week for 3 months . It's a different ball game in the English Premier League to what it is in La Liga. So whatever rating Caz boy had there is irrelevant to our league.
All of this stuff about players needing a season and digging up examples is just *******s. A lot depends on the other players in the side .Torres was better at Liverpool because the team played to his strengths . Cazorla is being asked to do too much,he's no Fabregas and has said so himself. I had to laugh though at Wenger's naive belief that Diaby could replace Song who is a big miss .
No wonder Cazorla and Poldolski look pissed off, they thought that they were joining a side that was going to Challenge for the league title and not just 4th place.
