By your intimation, I would have to suggest British forces have never been 'in' his country anymore than they have in this one (also the UK).. If he had grown up in Dublin and had a gun in his face and had his house searched he'd be on stronger ground. Also, if he had outstandingly high morals he'd play in Dublin and be paid in Euros and have nothing to do with us. Where does he draw the line? (That's where the thick bit comes back in).
