Many we're saying they didn't need Van Persie. Hernandez did nothing wrong really but found himself demoted. They didn't need Van Persie, but in football the best teams look to improve and add to the squad, to not stand still. Kind of like when Seaman came in, nothing wrong with Lukic, but Seaman was an improvement. There are economic arguments to it too, but by contrast we do things like make do, and get by. It's kind of like a get away with it if you can and hope for the best attitude. Requires a bit of luck, hopefully that luck doesn't run out with regards to injuries. We're always replacing, never strengthening.

Arsene must see this.

Or which would have left us well stocked in certain positions. We only seem to buy when we really have to. Also another example we didn't really need Ian Wright at the time either. Things are so different now.

defense was pathetic but we're getting shezz back. and, as wenger said, the midfield was tired/undersized for 90 mins vs fulham.

have a very creative midfield and I'm a fan of Giroud up front. Chez is coming back as you say which is good. Our fear over the defence runs deep though. I'm not sure it's just a back 4 thing though - I think we are missing a defensively minded midfielder.
