Why do we keep letting big players get to one year of their contract expiring

yet we are stuck with ****e like djourou, chamakh and arshavin on long term deals.

I dont get how Wenger didnt see RvP, Nasri and now Walcott and tie them down on extensions?! its very poor.

Unless it was done on purpose to make a profit on them and sell them on as he knew we wolud only be offering small wages in comparison??
