Doing quite a bit of traveling, plus lots of work, plus some turkey eating at the end, over the next three weeks. Will try to hop on to acknowledge abuse, but I "ain't runnin'" as some will undoubtedly claim.

So take your best shot today!

Just to acknowledge, I was as wrong as Wrongy Wrongson from Wrongsterville. So there you go.

Hopefully the November Blues won't irreparably damage The Mighty Arsenal, but I am less optimistic about that then I was the election. I guess all we have left is HOPE http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/wink.gif

there are way too many Republicans on the Board, sitting on a huge pile of cash and not spending it for development or growth. It's the same across the pond.

As you know, Romney was never my idea of a conservative candidate, if he was ever conservative at all. The fact that I to this day don't really know what he is - is telling.

AS you day, it is now proven that rich white guys dropping in piles of money from on high for TV ads, doesn't work in today's more egalitarian electorate. People want to be acknowledged, they want to belong. Any cursory study of social media would tell you that. It is much better to raise $1 million from 100,000 people than to raise $10 million from one donor. It's going to take someone willing to get their hair mussed and actually listen to real people not in the GOP echo chamber.

And please, please, please, please, can both parties agree to never ever nominate a guy ,or gal, from Massachussetts ever again?

The message from both candidates was muddled and small. Romney picked a "big idea" guy for VP, then muzzled him and diluted his ideas. Neither campaigned on any one defining idea. So in many regards the result makes sense -- i.e. muddled and small.

I believe that Obama will regret his small campaign because what does he now have? The same untenable situation he was in the last two years. And now he's a lame duck with no mandate, other than raising taxes on "the rich". Oh yeah, and a woman can get an abortion and free birth control pills whenever she wants. HUGE.

Meanwhile we'll pack on another 5 trillion in debt... and get inexorably weaker and weaker.

They associate Republicans with certain negative traits, like this gentleman here, for example:

http://www.awimb.com/fudforum/index.php?t=tree&goto=3574 961&rid=157&S=7b4a086b64917ada6d22368c533bf0a7 (http://www.awimb.com/fudforum/index.php?t=tree&goto=3574961&rid=157&S=7b4a086b64917ada6d22368c533bf0a7)

So they then assume that all conservatives are all of those things.

In many ways it is our own fault for not speaking forcefully enough about our beliefs and having some discipline in speaking. Plus, the GOP can really field some crappy candidates and 2012 was one of those years. I am optimistic about the young crop of leaders, Paul Ryan being one of them.

Obama's victory was intended to advance one person, Barack Obama. The Democrat party leaders are 70+ and have no real bench behind them. We have a real opportunity now that perhaps we wouldn't have with Mitt Romney defining consrvatism in a way incongruent with our values.

I just hope our country is not at a point of no return in the interim.

Like The Arsenal movements in the past or perhaps present, the "true fans" are in revolution mode.

The November 18 game is Blackout Arrowhead Day. Everyone wears black in protest. Pioli Out! Crennel Out! Cassel Out!

Hey BGM, since your guy won yesterday you think you can stop calling me a racist now?

a Romney fan wearing a t-shirt with a racist Obama message on it that someine posted and i jokingly said it was you. I don't think you're racist, you have a different set of ideals to Obama so don't vote for him and what he stands for http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif As for Obama being my guy, i couldn't give a f**k who won yesterday. My interest in US politics stopped when i finished my A level politics course http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif

I found that shirt abhorrent, destructive and would never ever ever consider wearing such a thing.

his legacy became wars and economic collapse even though america became richer during his initial years.

romney understood that and tried to distance him self from bush in the debates but didn't succeed
