I'm pretty certain I saw Arteta block one on the line with his bicep at one point.

The handball from Metesacker on the other hand...
Saw what you mean. Still not sure why Cazorla against Manu was a handball since his arms were tight against his body when it hit him. Seems it's less about what body part hits the ball and more about "intent"

The referee's line of sight is key and instant interpretation is key. the latter can be affected by a number of factors - opposing player's reactions, assistant referee and crowd.
