America, for all of their proselytising, arent really that self aware or bothered about other people's view of them. That's how a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints came to run for presidency anyway.

We are worried about the US foregin policy, they worry about their own lives, which will be directly influenced by this result. Why would someone who makes a lot of money vote for a guy who will increase taxes?

Why are we in Yurp so happy about Obama, he's still fightin' wars around the world, isn't he? Are we worried that Mitt would do something really foolish?

Anyway, the Eurohideen believes, in its bones, that the POTUS, any POTUS, wakes up every morning and wants to carpet-bomb Paris, Berlin, London etc.

You should see their faces if you ask oil engineers in the US if they vote democratic. It's just not on.

There is an open war between the democrats and the oil business. I really became aware of that when I worked on the BP blowout in the GoM.
