from top. 28 games to go. We have already played ManU, Chelsea, and ManCity, two of those away.

Defeat against Manchester is always hard to digest. But, honestly, this is far from the end of the world.

Beat Tottenham next, and we are back in the top four. If manU loses, we will be only six points away from the top. With 27 games still to go.

Just a reminder of some facts here...

although your reference to ManU as 'Manchester' reminds me of African fans who also do this http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/curry.gif http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/mrt.gif

By Christmas we should be in top four of the league with advancement to the Round of 16 in the Champions League and to the Semifinals of the Capital One Cup. With the additions of Sagna and Wilshere already in the fold and Szczesny/Diaby not far behind, this squad should really take its shape and form entering 2013. Throw in the returns of Gervinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Rosicky in the next month and Arsenal should have a strong side to select from at the turn of the calendar.

With Szcecz, Giibs, and a fit jack, We are easily in the top three, with (by far?) the best midfield in the league and still the best defense.

Mind you, I am not saying that we will be champion. I think we need a much better overall squad for that, as there will always be injuries in the first XI.

So long as Ramsey, Santos, or Mannone are one injury from starting a game, top four is all we can aspire to. And, Arsene has to face the fact that Giroud while a decent plan B, cannot come close to be RVP's long term replacement.

Just saying that that a 2-1 defeat away to ManU, while being six in the table, is not the end of the world. That was my only point...

We might be favs for 4th place in the PL , although using your criteria so are another half a dozen sides -but we are no shoo-in for the last 16 in the CL with two tough away games to play .
