The thing with the is there money or not to spend argument is that it's been shown there IS money. Alright not £200 million which the likes of City, Chelsea and Real can spend, but a not insignificant amount either.

The stadium debt can't be overpayed, so we're stuck with the £10 to £15 million payments per season for that for the next 15 to 20 years.

In excess of £100 million, possibly closer to £150 million in the bank too.

We need to find a middle ground between being run sensibly financially and being able to seriously compete. We're only achieving the first of these aims.
