on the defeat…
I’m disappointed of course, because we had a lot of the ball but we were not very efficient in our final third or in their final third. You feel it was a bit [of] an illusionary domination. We had a lot of the ball but they created more chances and deserved to win the game. Part of that is down to the fact that we gave an early goal away. In a game like that, that’s a massive advantage [for Manchester United]. Then they defended well, were sharper than us in the duels and the consequence is you lose the game.

A fair assessment imo.

there was no domination by Arsenal, illusory or otherwise

Man u ran the game from start to finish.

Wenger is trying to pretend that Arsenal did better than they did.

Dont fall for it

No, not really. If it looks like bull**** and smells like bull****, the chances are it is bull****.

The fact is there was no domination from Arsenal - 'illusionary' or otherwise.

ManUre sadly had more possession, more chances, more chances on target and more corners - oh and they scored more too. The only area we matched them was in fouls - 13 apiece.

The bull**** about illusionary domination is to suggest we somehow almost matched them and had a lot of possesson, while then humbly conceding the domination was 'illusionary'. Let's get this straight: there was no domination from Arsenal of any kind. We rolled over and were lucky, very lucky, not to concede four or five.

Whether he is really seeing what is happening in these games or just turning a blind eye to our failings.
