As poor as we played the 1st half, it was still 1-0 and we were starting to find some cracks, some openings. Santos had a few chances to make a great pass, Girould almost scored off the left post...

Then it happened.

ManU takes a short corner, which is sort of a fundamental thing to defend, but we did not send enough players out. This left Rooney unmarked as he lifted a pinpoint cross right over Mertesacker's head. 2-0.

I fear short corners more than anything because we still don't have enough leadership for someone to recognize what is happening, nor a cohesive plan to adjust and get players out there to defend. Everyone just looks at each other flatfooted.

It's coaching and attitude.
