http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif It's a ****hole but it's not Tottenham High Road, Clapton, Homerton etc etc

Jesus christ, grow some, silly gooners.

Also, if you are going do yourself a favour and pop in to the New Beehive pub for a bit of proper beer action. Probably best not go to The Fighting Cock though, contrary to what the name might suggest it isnt a gay bar but it's still a bit rough.

The discerning gooner may want to head to Centenary Square for pre-match recreation.

The area around the ground is one of the worst in Bradford though so I wouldnt use that as any sort of guide.

It's a fascinating place, it used to be one of the most prosperous cities in the world (more millionaires than new york, more rolls royces than london are the oft quoted lines) so there's bundles of dilapidated victorian gothic buildings.

Nobody really goes into the centre that much so it's pleasingly empty too.

the away end was terrible, and I can't see it's improved much in the years since.

I also have the issue of having no holiday left this year, so can't get the day off for it.

*Yes I know Brass was set in Lancashire but it springs to mind whenever I hear of mill owners & mansions.

The only place in Europe where the travel advice is to get jabs before visiting

much to Ms A's consternation. "I can't believe you're taking us into this place. You don't even know where this building is."

Anyway, I followed my nose to the Town Hall and very nice it was too. I wasn't able to persuade her to want to visit the industrial museum though. That one will have to dye another day.
