Not very surprising was it, that it would struggle in the storm? So why did people remain on board it? Two chaps, including the captain, went down with it, didn't they? Crazy.

when its not actually sinking otherwise you are a yellow belly..he did the right thing and very dignified death..well done to all concern.. and his little helper who stayed to..a young female captains boy i believe..

The boat wasn't out in open sea was it? The captain is the last man to leave the ship - sure - but it doesn't mean he has to go down with it when everywon else have left?

They had an engine as well as sail. Problems started when engine failed - other than that they would have undoubtedly , literally, weathered the storm.

But why did the ship not shoot directly for a harbour when the warnings were sent out many days ago?
