It seems only a handful films such as kids movies and the occasional blockbuster are put out in 3D. It seems that no 'serious' movie producers are going that route.

I'm assuming that he won't be as he has stated in his posting that he will be going to Zizzi's for dinner after the film.

So assuming he has had lunch at 1pm and the film is say at 6pm this evening - by the time he does have dinner - a near 7 hours would have been passed till he dines...
