You may argue when is the wrong or right time to invest in players and I'm sure 99% of supporters think we should have spent more but the fact is that nobody is taking money out of the club.

I mean taking dividends out of the club would negatively affect Kroenke's investment, which is far more substantial than the paltry £15-20 million one could foresee being paid.

If we stopped doing it now for some reason it would be an admission that the business model was failing and our long term plan to get back to the top was crumbling with it.

there were some reasonable and sensible ideas about ST Pricing, Cup games, away fans location etc but the last point was basically "Usmanov In!" which only diluted the decent suggestions they were making imo.

Though as I said, some very reasonable ideas about ST options without the 7 cup games, spread payment terms for STs and options for ST holders to downgrade to Silver.

But when we bought Stan in to stop Usmanov getting a controlling stake I should imagine that we have to pay a small dividend to keep him happy.

It's normal for a successful company to pay the shareholders a dividend if the company has done well. After all, they do own a share of the company.

And by 'support' I mean a fan that supports the club to the extent that they'll part with hard earned Yuan for some merchandise/service.

That is entirety of his thinking in buying the club, surely. With television income that increases hugely year-on-year and football's ever-expanding interest, world-wide, Arsenal are almost certain to massively increase in value over the next 10 years or so.

Frankly, to even suggest that these billionaires buy into clubs with the intention of taking out a pathetic annual stipend, that would only harm their initial outlay, is ridiculous.

The income brought in from domestic tv rights alone is set to double with the new deal which starts this year (almost 50 million per club iirc), and international rights will continue to increase in cost exponentially.

It's quite easy to imagine that in a decade or two we will look back on footballers' current earnings and think them quaint by comparison.

Just curious - would you rather be operating in the US healthcare system?

ethically; no. I rave about the NHS and I think it's one of the most brilliant and sophisticated healthcare systems in the world. I genuinely think it's something that all Brits should be immensely proud of. It gets me extremely agitated when people lavish criticisms on it - people just don't realise how lucky they are. You don't hear about the magnificent jobs that so many NHS staff do on a daily basis.

So, in short, I'd prefer to work as part of the UK healthcare system. I have boundless admiration for the NHS and will, all being well, be hugely proud to say I work as part of the system.
