Sometimes these women and ethnic folks are pretty good, given the opportunity. What's the alternative? A closed shop that's what. When will certain types of people ever get a chance otherwise? Though as Ash says, the white working class male doesn't really get similar openings re quotas.

and in business "playing the system" is a large part of earning it, I doubt you'll find a CEO out there who isn't good at playing the system!

a person's actual level of ability, in terms of competency. The workplace seems to be divided into "people" persons with limited knowledge or those with good technical skills but not great social skills. A minority possess both traits.

will get very different treatment from potential employers depending on whether they have a foreign or western name on them.
