which is field hockey on ice - has some cool aspects to it. Take eg corners. It's taken from the corner flag, like in football, but all the defending players must be lined up on the goalline, and the attacking players are lined up outside the box to shoot when the corner is taken. Now it goes without saying that being hit in the chest by a full blast bandy shoot is rather painful - but the defenders are allowed to storm out when the corner is taken. The faster they are, the lower the shot will hit them, preferably in the shin guards, where they won't feel a thing. Turning the back on the shot opens up a totally unprotected area.
