option one circle line then change at moorgate.
get the train to stevenage get off at bowes park and have a walk. but I need to get to moorgate very quickly.

bank to kings cross - tube to wood green either Piccadilly straight or cut a bit of time victoria to finsbury park then interchange at finsbury park.

or train going to stevenage but get off at highbury and islington jump on victoria line.

Or jump in the river.

Also, I don't think the river will take you to Wood Green, although if you swim up the undergroud Fleet pipe (exits under Blackfriars Bridge) to either Highgate or Hampstead ponds you might be able to get a bus from there.
