Armstrong had been stripped of his record seven Tour de France titles, but the UCI management board will meet on Friday to decide if they are to be awarded to another rider. Given that so many of Armstrong’s rivals have doping offences against their name, it is likely that those years will be left blank. Christian Prudhomme, the Tour de France director, has said that he will go along with whatever decision the UCI comes to over the results from 1999 to 2005.
