View Full Version : Was just reading about Evander Holyfield going bankrupt. Amazing from a position of earning

hundreds of millions of dollars. That explains why he's only just retired at 50 anyway.

Apparently so broke now he's living in a run down apartment,and had to auction off all his boxing memorabilia.

Something else caught my eye from this article, three quarters of former NFL players are declared bankrupt within two years of retiring! Sounds an extraordinarily high figure to me.

By comparison don't hear much about many former pro football players going bust really.

And didn't Brad Friedel declare himself bankrupt a couple of years back when he was at Villa? I seem to remember it was something to do with a football coaching school he had going under.
