The Dems are not Labour, the Reps are not Tories. They are very different animals but this sort of lazy tribalism persists.

The US don't have a Labour/Liberal equivalent; not one of any substance anyway.

Cameron has sensibly aligned himself with Obama.

and the torrid, passionate, sensual love affair between Reagan and Thatcher. I think most people in Britain* are sensible enough to realise that Obama isn't a raving Socialist so no obvious tie up with the Labour Party (insert joke there)

I'm more interested to hear Miliband's views on Hollande (the French President rather than the badly spelt country)

and its normally some 90 year old billionaire. But why no one this time. With both parties under pressure a third option might of benefitted.
