but if managers like Hodgson, Capello and Mancini continue to pick him, he's clearly doing something to impress them.

Probably a good 'defensive winger', whatever that is. Or something like that anyway.

Real and especially Barca lack depth at centre half.

Chelsea strikers.

Utd midfielders (goalkeeper a bit undecided too) and City at centre half too.
