Skype or Facetime. Leave her a phone if she doesn't have Internet where she is. Have your girlfriend on Skype / Facetime to her under the Eiffel Tower going "Look mum, you've got it all to live for. Monty and I will bring you here to Paris to see all of this. You only get one life, blah, blah".
