The picking apart pf the official accounts often has plenty of merit- there are sizeable holes in most official accounts and plenty we are not being told.

It falls apart when they then present a whole new eventuality based on far flimsier and much more difficult to believe evidence than that which they just picked apart.

Of course the fundamental premise is that there are often very good reasons for the holes in the official story.
