on the other hand there is a lot of industry.

Though I think that the referendum will be in favour of remaining in the United Kingdom.

It all depends on certain votes if people vote heart over head.

For our oldest and nearest colony, it's almost like being in a furrin country. Apart from having made up a pretend language, it seems to be illegal to serve anything other than Pork and Leek sausage in a breakfast.

Conway castle etc.

You're fairly lucky they have invented fire now so they could cook things

Conwy was lovely. Stayed in Canaervan (Black Boy Inn just by the castle), Portmeirion (woohoo!) and Bala. Visited 5 castles, walked round two lakes and abducted one small child.

Tremendous chip shop up there near Canaervan called the golden cod I think.

The only welsh you'll learn is ARAF on the roads.

Also 'Dim Parcio'

I love the way they make up italian-sounding words. Karting is 'Cartio'.

Might explain why so many welsh girls are near-perfect-spheres.

But I guess the green green grass would be more suited to a referendum for Wales

why should the English have the right to stop them leaving?

I would, however, limit the vote to those actually living in Scotland at the time, whatever their nationality.

Of course, it would involve some major negotiations as to the detail of how the affairs of the UK and Scotland should be unwound.

I'm personally in two minds about whether it would be good for Scotland PLC. If I was to come down off the fence I'd probably say no

What is someone is temporarily working abroad and is due to return to the UK after a posting?

Not the same as someone who has upped sticks and decided the UK is never going to be part of their address in the future. They can fück right off. Wait a mo ..... they already have I suppose

Hillary

I don't see why a person not living in a country should have any say in how it is run. I accept this has been US foreign policy for the last 50 years or so, but that's not really a model that has worked imo.

Peter

If you left years ago and livepermanently abroad why should you vote? Its none of your business, surely.

Someone on a year's secondment abroad is very different from someone deciding to spend a few years living in Oz picking fruit.

Hillary

I did qualify it a little as I was being a bit draconian, but in general I think people who live in a place should decide on its governance.

Its a bit of a non issue for me but out of interest, which constituency would they vote in? Last registered uk address presumably.

For me they can f**k off unless they pay tax here.

Ashberto

I'm not saying that's a crime, but it's a consitutional imbalance.

the UK but don't earn enough to do so. What are my rights?
