They rob some bank truck then I haven't got a f**king clue what's going on.

We'd already seen Pacino's harrassed cop in Sea of Love et al and the whole world knows that De Niro can play a crook http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/yawn.gif

The film looks terrific, but as I say, Mann did this every week in MV.
