View Full Version : I had a traditional Portugese dish a little while back - Cataplana - It is loads of fish cooked in

one pot. Basically their equivalent to the Spanish paella, but with potatoes in there rather than rice.

I had it with Monkfish in mine, it was awesome.

I made mash for my cottage pie last night.

Maris Piper potatoes
Carrots
Bit of milk
Bit of butter
Freshly grated nutmeg
Salt & Pepper to season

Sprinkled some grated cheddar on top before putting in the oven. It was awesome.

The extra texture and colour from the carrots was great, and I managed to fool myself into thinking it was healthy :)

I'd have been very delighted with Tuna or Monkfish at the wedding. Assuming it was decent quality, of course. Nothing worse than poor quality, tasteless fish imo.
